Electrical properties of vitreous Tl2Te·As2Te3

Journal of Non-Crystalline Solids, 1970
Abstract Combined measurements of electrical resistivity, Hall effect and thermoelectric power have been performed on vitreous Tl2Te·As2Te3 as a function of temperature. The resistivity and Hall coefficient both vary exponentially with temperature in the range 125–325°K.

Electrical Conductivity of Vitreous GeO2

Journal of Applied Physics, 1972
Electrical-conductivity measurements were carried out on vitreous GeO2 and the conductivity was measured as a function of frequency and temperature in the following ranges: 1.5 Hz ≤ ν ≤ 108 Hz and − 180°C ≤ T ≤ 600°C. The results are discussed in terms of a phenomenological Debye theory, and it is concluded that the conductivity is due to ionic ...

Electric-field-gradient distribution in vitreous yttrium iron garnet

Physical Review B, 1980
M\"ossbauer quadrupole splitting (QS) measurements are reported for ${\mathrm{Fe}}^{57}$ in vitreous YIG (${\mathrm{Y}}_{3}$${\mathrm{Fe}}_{5}$${\mathrm{O}}_{12}$). Electric-field-gradient (EFG) calculations from a computer model of amorphous YIG suggest a distribution $p(|V|)$ of principal EFG components $V$ which peaks at a nonzero value, is ...

Electrical characteristics of vitreous vs common carbons

Applied Physics Letters, 1972
The carbonization of certain cross-linked polymers under carefully controlled conditions yields a nongraphitizing carbon which, on account of its high lustre and conchoidal fracture, has been called ``vitreous carbon''. The temperature coefficient of resistivity for this carbon has been determined and its bulk resistivity reconfirmed.

Electric Properties of Lithium Tetraborate in Vitreous and Crystalline States

Ferroelectrics, 2003
The results of the studies of temperature-frequency dependences of electric properties of Li 2 B 4 O 7 compound in the crystalline and vitreous states within the temperature range from room temperature to 1100 K and frequency range from 0.001 to 1.0 MHz are presented.

Electric Conductivity of Vitreous Silica during Pulsed-Electron-Beam Irradiation

MRS Proceedings, 1984
ABSTRACTWe describe a measurement of the transient conductivity induced in amorphous SiO2during irradiation by an intense and energetic electron beam. Preliminary results of an experiment [1] we performed at the Pulsed High - Energy Radiographic Machine Emitting X Rays (PHERMEX) facility of Los Alamos National Laboratory indicate that a beam of ...

Electrical and Optical Properties of Vitreous Selenium

Physical Review, 1963
The space-charge limited current-voltage characteristics of evaporated layers of vitreous selenium from 2.4 to 60 \ensuremath{\mu} thick are described. It is shown that both an exponential and a Gaussian distribution of states will explain these characteristics. An analytic solution is derived for the case of the exponential distribution of states: $N(\
