Switched-Band Vivaldi Antenna [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2011
A novel Vivaldi antenna with added switched band functionality to operate in a wideband or narrowband mode is presented. The antenna reconfiguration is realized by inserting four pairs of switchable ring slots into the ground plane of the structure. A wide bandwidth mode from 1.0-3.2 GHz and three narrowband modes can be selected.

Simple Compact UWB Vivaldi Antenna

2022
Simple compact Ultra Wide Band (UWB) Vivaldi Tapered Slot Antenna (VTSA) is presented in this paper. Detailed parametric studies are performed to get good performance with a compact size. The proposed antenna shows good impedance matching less than −11.283 dB through 3.325 GHz–10.82 GHz.

Bent antipodal Vivaldi antenna

The 8th European Conference on Antennas and Propagation (EuCAP 2014), 2014
A bent antipodal Vivaldi antenna with a -6 dB bandwidth from 150 MHz is presented. The whole antenna is realized on a 600 × 600 mm 2 silicone substrate. In this paper we describe the design, the realization and the performances of this antenna. This one is easy to make and does not require matching network or balun.

A Uniplanar Vivaldi Antenna

2019 International Conference on Microwave and Millimeter Wave Technology (ICMMT), 2019
A very wideband uniplanar quasi-Vivaldi antenna is presented. Based on its easy fabrication, low cost, and wideband high gain performance, it appears suitable for imaging and other useful applications. It consists of a coplanar waveguide feed, and a pair Vivaldi patches. It exhibits a 10 dB reflection coefficient bandwidth of 1.9 GHz - 20 GHz.

Vivaldi-based UWB Monopulse-Antenna

2010 International ITG Workshop on Smart Antennas (WSA), 2010
This article describes a design of an UWB-Monopulse Antenna. A creation of the sum and difference beams is achieved over the large bandwidth from 3 GHz till 11 GHz. The distribution of the peak value of the impulse response over the angle around the antenna is calculated from the measurements.

Gain enhancement of antipodal vivaldi antenna

2018 26th Signal Processing and Communications Applications Conference (SIU), 2018
Due to the broadband requirements in the field of communication, Ultra-Wide Band antennas have become popular nowadays. In this study, an antipodal Vivaldi antenna with UWB and compact design was investigated for X band applications. The antenna features have been developed using Defective Ground Surfaces (DGS) and dielectric lenses.
