Determining the Direction of Radio Wave Reception for Maximum Radiation Using Genetic Algorithm and RF to DC Conversion Efficiency Analysis

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 7, Issue 9, September 2025.
In this study, a new plan for routing radio transmitters is presented using an algorithm compatible with RFEH. The proposed algorithm is based on the genetic algorithm (GA), and in an innovation, using the HPBW in the GA creates a population for initial sampling dependent on the receiver antenna.

A Linear Connected Printed Inverted‐F Antenna Array for 5G mm‐Wave MIMO Applications

open access: yesMicrowave and Optical Technology Letters, Volume 67, Issue 6, June 2025.
ABSTRACT In this study, a linear connected printed inverted‐F antenna (PIFA) array (LCPA) configured for a multiple‐input multiple‐output (MIMO) system is presented for use in 5G mm‐wave applications. The design is compared with conventional antenna arrays to highlight the advantages of the proposed approach.

How Flavorsome Was That Movie? Using a Bayesian Network Approach to Understand How Audiovisual Stimuli Influence Emotions and Flavor Perception

open access: yesFood Frontiers, Volume 6, Issue 3, Page 1323-1342, May 2025.
ABSTRACT This study utilized the temporal check‐all‐that‐apply (TCATA) approach to investigate the impact of viewing video clips on the perception of ice cream. The association between subjectively rated emotions and their electrophysiological correlates was further explored using Bayesian network (BN) modelling.

Characterizing bacterial communities of wild birds: Insights from three southern African hornbill species

open access: yesJournal of Avian Biology, Volume 2025, Issue 3, May 2025.
The microbiome of the uropygial gland and integuments where birds spread the uropygial secretion may play crucial roles for their hosts, but it has been poorly studied, especially in wild species. Exploring bacterial communities associated with the uropygial secretion of birds is particularly interesting in species under strong selection pressures due ...
