Electrodynamics of vivaldi antenna arrays
2017 Radiation and Scattering of Electromagnetic Waves (RSEMW), 2017Theoretical investigation of a two dimensional periodical Vivaldi antenna array is presented. The array model in form of a system of coupled slot lines with variable parameters is proposed. Integral equations that describe all array eigen modes: TE, TM, TEM are obtained and solved.

INTERCONNECTION OF VIVALDI ANTENNAS IN THE MIMO ANTENNA ARRAY

IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 2011
A novel Vivaldi antenna with added switched band functionality to operate in a wideband or narrowband mode is presented. The antenna reconfiguration is realized by inserting four pairs of switchable ring slots into the ground plane of the structure. A wide bandwidth mode from 1.0-3.2 GHz and three narrowband modes can be selected.

Vivaldi antenna arrays for SKA
IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium. Transmitting Waves of Progress to the Next Millennium. 2000 Digest. Held in conjunction with: USNC/URSI National Radio Science Meeting (Cat. No.00CH37118), 2002We present several broad band arrays of tapered slot antennas for use in a new generation phased array telescope. In specific, a four element linearly polarized 3-12 GHz array, a 3 element 0.8-2.5 GHz coupled array and a four element dual polarized 0.8-2.5 GHz array are discussed. Integration with LNAs and coupling between elements is examined.

A tuneable Antipodal Vivaldi antenna for UWB application
10th International Multi-Conferences on Systems, Signals & Devices 2013 (SSD13), 2013This paper presents a tuneable Antipodal Vivaldi antenna by employing symmetrically corrugated ripples on the frontier of the antenna in order to improve the radiation performance. This configuration is able to produce good input match, low dispersion, high gain, small sidelobe level and constant radiation pattern of 10±1.5 dB over the frequency band.

Characteristics of pulsed Vivaldi antenna
2004 14th International Crimean Conference "Microwave and Telecommunication Technology" (IEEE Cat. No.04EX843), 2004Experimental and theoretical results of investigation of the Vivaldi antenna in the pulsed mode of operation are presented. Antenna power directive gain and efficiency of feeder system are calculated as a function of Gaussian pulse duration exciting the system. Experimental results on registration of received pulse time dependences in the communication

Antipodal Vivaldi antenna for phased array antenna applications
Proceedings of 2012 5th Global Symposium on Millimeter-Waves, 2012This paper describes an antipodal Vivaldi antenna on Rogers4350B substrate at the operating frequency band of 6∼18GHz. Both simulation and measurement results show superior performance with high gain of 6–10dB and symmetrical H-plane characteristics. In addition, a 1×8 H-plane phased array with alterable spacing between adjacent elements is constructed

A designed of miniaturized Vivaldi antenna for antenna array applications
2017 IEEE 2nd Advanced Information Technology, Electronic and Automation Control Conference (IAEAC), 2017This paper presents a miniaturized Vivaldi antenna in order to meet the practical requirements of antenna array applications. Compared to the conventional Vivaldi antenna (CVA), the width of the modified Vivaldi antenna aperture is reduced 38.05% by adding regular slot edges (RSE), which will prevent the antenna array from generating the grating lobes.
