We carried out the intercomparison ex- periments between VLBI and other techniques to show the capability of VLBI time and frequency transfer by using the current geodetic VLBI tech- nique and facilities as the summary of the exper- iments that we ...

We review VLBI observations of supernovae over the last quarter century and discuss the prospect of imaging future supernovae with space VLBI in the context of VSOP-2. From thousands of discovered supernovae, most of them at cosmological distances, ~50 have been detected at radio wavelengths, most of them in relatively nearby galaxies. All of the radio

DBBC3 — The new wide-band backend for VLBI
The DBBC3 VLBI digital backend is the successor of the most widely adapted digital VLBI backend DBBC2. The DBBC3 offers much wider bandwidth and integrated Ethernet output.

Monitoring of multi-frequency polarization of gamma-ray bright AGNs
We started two observing programs with the Korean VLBI Network (KVN) monitoring changes in the flux density and polarization of relativistic jets in gamma-ray bright AGNs simultaneously at 22, 43, 86, 129 GHz.

Combining VLBI and GPS for inter-continental frequency transfer [Elektronisk resurs]
For decades the Global Positioning System (GPS) has been the only space geodetic technique routinely used for inter-continental frequency transfer applications. In the past VLB) has also been considered for this purpose and the method's capabilities were
