Abstract figure legend Sudden unexpected death in epilepsy (SUDEP) frequently occurs at night when humans are asleep. Nocturnal mouse models of seizure‐associated death also exhibit higher mortality during the night. This nighttime risk of death may be under the regulation of independent circadian and sleep state‐dependent processes.

Summary Cuticle function can be pivotal to plant success in different environments. Yet, the occurrence of intraspecific adjustments in cuticle traits resulting from acclimation or adaptation to different habitats remains poorly understood. Here, we used genetically well‐characterised populations of Arabidopsis arenosa to investigate whether cuticle ...

QCL‐Based Cryogen‐Free THz Optical Wireless Communication Link
A novel QCL‐based, cryogen‐free, and transportable wireless communication system is presented operating at 2.83 THz. The QCL device is mounted in a compact Stirling refrigerator, while a room‐temperature graphene‐based FET is used as a receiver, implementing a binary on‐off keying (OOK) modulation scheme with Manchester encoding.

Multiresolution Recurrent Neural Networks: An Application to Dialogue Response Generation
We introduce the multiresolution recurrent neural network, which extends the sequence-to-sequence framework to model natural language generation as two parallel discrete stochastic processes: a sequence of high-level coarse tokens, and a sequence of ...

Disorders of fatty acid homeostasis
Abstract Humans derive fatty acids (FA) from exogenous dietary sources and/or endogenous synthesis from acetyl‐CoA, although some FA are solely derived from exogenous sources (“essential FA”). Once inside cells, FA may undergo a wide variety of different modifications, which include their activation to their corresponding CoA ester, the introduction of
