A Strategy Game System for QoS-Efficient Dynamic Virtual Machine Consolidation in Data Centers

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
In this paper, we develop a model for the competitive relationship between cloud service providers and cloud brokers during the virtual machine (VM) placement.

Two-phase Virtual Machine Placement Algorithm Based on Network Awareness [PDF]

open access: yesJisuanji gongcheng, 2017
The existing Virtual Machine(VM) placement researches mostly aim at energy saving, which reduce energy consumption by consolidating of resources. However, the excessive consolidation of these resources may lead to network performance degradation.Aiming at ...

Low SLA violation and Low Energy consumption using VM Consolidation in Green Cloud Data Centers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Virtual Machines (VM) consolidation is an efficient way towards energy conservation in cloud data centers. The VM consolidation technique is applied to migrate VMs into lesser number of active Physical Machines (PMs), so that the PMs which have no VMs ...

Virtual Machine Migration Techniques for Optimizing Energy Consumption in Cloud Data Centers

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2023
The energy used by cloud data centers (CDCs) to support large volumes of data storage and computation is dramatically increasing as the scope of cloud services continues to expand.

Failure-aware energy-efficient VM consolidation in cloud computing systems

open access: yes, 2019
VM consolidation is an important technique used in cloud computing systems to improve energy efficiency. It migrates the running VMs from under utilized physical resources to other resources in order to reduce the energy consumption.

Differential expression of cancer‐related genes supports prediction of poor response to first‐line treatments in T‐ALL pediatric patients with high minimal residual disease

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the present work, we have identified a transcriptional signature based on the differential expression of six genes (BCL2&MAST4, HSH2D&LAT2, METRN&PITPNM2) that would facilitate the early detection of T‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T‐ALL) patients prone to a poor treatment response and could be implemented at diagnosis, along with other risk ...

Bulk-bin-packing based migration management of reserved virtual machine requests for green cloud computing [PDF]

open access: yesEAI Endorsed Transactions on Energy Web, 2019
The dynamic consolidation of Virtual Machines (VMs) into a minimum number of Physical Machines (PMs) is a key energy-efficient practice in a cloud data centre, to reduce the running PMs and save electricity costs.

Paclitaxel induces NM2‐dependent cellular contraction through GEF‐H1 dissociation from microtubules and RhoA/ROCK activation in cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Taxanes are widely used chemotherapeutics whose effects on cellular mechanics remain poorly understood. We show that paclitaxel induces rapid cellular contraction by promoting GEF‐H1 dissociation from microtubules and non‐muscle myosin II activation through RhoA/ROCK.

Cyclic azapeptide CD36 ligand attenuates cardiac injury and reduces long‐chain fatty acid accumulation after myocardial ischemia–reperfusion in mice

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
In a murine model of myocardial ischemia and reperfusion (MI/R), the CD36 azapeptide ligand MPE‐298 reduces cardiac injury and transiently lowers left ventricular long‐chain fatty acids (LCFAs) accumulation 3 h after reperfusion, accompanied by a decrease of oxidative stress and inflammation‐associated genes' expression in the heart and adipose tissue.
