Strain‐Adaptive Dielectric Metamaterials via Bioinspired “Ligament‐Bone” Architecture for Ultrahigh‐Energy Capacitive Storage

A bioinspired strain‐adaptive ligament‐bone architecture achieves record‐high energy density of 26.1 J cm−3 and 90% efficiency at 600 MV m−1, coupled with a Young's modulus of 2.13 GPa. Backbone Steric Constraints Underlie High Passive Membrane Permeability of N‐Alkyl Peptides

Beyond amide hydrogen removal, steric constraints encoded in N/Cα‐dually substituted backbones are uncovered as a key determinant of passive membrane permeability in N‐alkyl peptides. These constraints restrict conformational freedom and sterically limit backbone hydration during membrane permeation.

We determine the value of the ω-ρ-π mesons coupling (gωρπ), in the context of the vector meson dominance model, from radiative decays, the ω→3π decay width and the e+e-→3π cross-section. For the last two observables we consider the effect of either a heavier resonance (ρ′(1450)) or a contact term.
