Evolving patient journey in the management of active perianal fistulizing Crohn's disease: A temporal perspective

open access: yesColorectal Disease, Volume 28, Issue 9, September 2026.
Abstract Background Over recent decades, there has been a more pronounced shift towards earlier therapeutic intervention in luminal Crohn's disease (CD). However, it remains unclear if similar strategies apply to active perianal fistulizing CD (pCD). This study explores the patient journey by assessing pCD management across diagnostic time periods in a

Cytopathology Terminology Systems: European Federation of Cytological Societies Survey on Practice in Europe

open access: yesCytopathology, Volume 37, Issue 5, Page 459-471, September 2026.
Cytology terminologies are widely accepted within Europe based on EFCS survey. The Bethesda System for reporting cervical cytology and the Bethesda System for reporting thyroid cytopathology have been implemented by most of the responding countries. ABSTRACT Cytopathologists communicate with clinicians via cytopathology reports.

Kinetic Compatibility as a Predictor of PTP1B Inhibitor Combination Outcomes: An Integrated Experimental and Computational Study

open access: yesChemMedChem, Volume 21, Issue 16, 27 August 2026.
Combining PTP1B inhibitors of distinct kinetic mechanisms determines their pharmacological outcome. Integrating enzyme kinetics, docking, molecular dynamics, and membrane‐permeability simulations, we show that mechanistically compatible pairs (competitive + competitive; uncompetitive + mixed) yield additivity, whereas competitive + uncompetitive ...

Stereoselective Higher‐Order [10+4]‐ and [10+6] Cycloadditions Between Two Highly Unsaturated and Ambiphilic π‐Addends

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, Volume 32, Issue 31, 18 August 2026.
Aminocatalytically generated isobenzofulvenes and 3‐oxidopyridinium betaines act as ambiphilic reaction partners in orbital‐symmetry‐allowed [10+4] cycloadditions or formally symmetry‐forbidden concerted thermal [10+6] cycloadditions. The reaction furnishes three cycloadducts: one [10+4] cycloadduct and two regioisomeric [10+6] cycloadducts.
