Adaptive Resource Management Framework for Profit Optimisation in 5G Network Slicing

open access: yesIET Networks, Volume 14, Issue 1, January/December 2025.
This paper proposes a novel optimisation framework for dynamic resource management in 5G network slicing, integrating integer linear programming (ILP) and heuristic models to prioritise high‐revenue slices while minimising reconfiguration costs. Simulations show a 24.8% increase in resource utilisation and a 98.99% boost in profitability compared to a ...

Adaptive power management for multiaccess edge computing‐based 6G‐inspired massive Internet of Things

open access: yesIET Wireless Sensor Systems, Volume 15, Issue 1, January/December 2025.
The paper proposes a containerised edge computing model for power optimisation in 6G‐inspired massive Internet‐of‐Things applications. The problem is formulated as a central processing unit energy consumption cost function based on quasi‐finite system observations. Results show that the model performs better compared to a competitive baseline algorithm.
