Hepatic venoocclusive disease/sinusoidal obstruction syndrome with normal portal vein flow mimicking aggravated chronic hepatic GVHD following inotuzumab ozogamicin salvage therapy: a case report of pathologic-radiologic discrepancy

open access: yesTherapeutic Advances in Hematology, 2021
Inotuzumab ozogamicin (INO) showed improved treatment outcomes for relapsed or refractory B-cell precursor acute lymphoblastic leukemia (BCP-ALL) but can induce hepatotoxic adverse events.

Velocity of detonation measurement and fragmentation analysis to evaluate blasting efficacy

open access: yesJournal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering, 2018
In holes, the measurement of the velocity of detonation (VOD) helps in comparing and evaluating relative performance of explosives. In this paper a blast performance assessment was conducted based on the results obtained from the steady state VOD ...

Predicting sinusoidal obstruction syndrome after allogeneic stem cell transplantation with the EASIX biomarker panel

open access: yesHaematologica, 2020
No biomarker panel is established for prediction of sinusoidal obstruction syndrome/veno-occlusive disease (SOS/VOD), a major complication of allogeneic stem cell transplantation (alloSCT).

The Technology Valley of Death of Circular Economy Solutions: A System Dynamics Simulation of Business Strategies for the Second‐Use Battery Industry

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Retired electric vehicle (EV) batteries can be repurposed to stationary storage batteries. While this circularity solution has attracted attention from entrepreneurs, falling battery prices, along with the longer lifetime of new batteries, high consumer expectations and limited governmental support challenge the approach.

A Method to Weaken Cloud Interference in Solar-Induced Chlorophyll Fluorescence (SIF) Reconstruction by Using Satellite VOD Observations

open access: yesIEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Applied Earth Observations and Remote Sensing
Solar-induced chlorophyll fluorescence (SIF) satellite observations enable large-scale crop monitoring and yield assessment. Some optical vegetation indexes have been commonly used as predictors to reconstruct SIF.

Strain‐based modeling and analysis for rock blasting and geomechanics applications

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
This paper introduces a novel strain‐based modeling approach for blasting and geomechanical applications, using measurable variables like particle velocity, strain, and displacement. By bypassing complex constitutive relations, strain‐based models capture critical blasting trends and full‐blast design parameters with minimal calibration.
