Numerical simulation Of bubble behavior using VOF method
2011 International Conference on Electric Technology and Civil Engineering (ICETCE), 2011Taking full account of the liquid viscosity, surface tension and other factors, a detailed numerical simulation using VOF method was carried out to study the dynamic behavior of bubbles in still water, and obtained the rising path, deformation process and speed changes. The numerical results were compared with experimental data, and gained good result.

The governing equations are momentum, continuity and Fractional Volume Of Fluid (VOF) function equations. The fluid is assumed to be viscous and incompressible.
