Born to Fear the Machine? Genetic and Environmental Influences on Negative Attitudes toward AI Agents

Why do some people fear or distrust AI agents more than others? This twin study shows that negative attitudes toward AI may partly stem from genetic factors, linking them to traits like victim sensitivity and moral beliefs. Circulating Tumor Cells Shed Shearosome Extracellular Vesicles in Capillary Bifurcations That Activate Endothelial and Immune Cells

Using microfluidic models of capillary networks, this study discovered that fluid shear stresses on circulating tumor cells transiting through capillary‐sized bifurcations shed a novel class of shear‐dependent large extracellular vesicle, “shearosomes”, whose proteome comprises of over 3000 distinct proteins.

A Phase Separation‐Assisted Pre‐Enrichment Method for Ultrasensitive Respiratory Virus Detection

Conventional biomarker enrichment lacks versatility and specificity. Phase separation‐assisted pre‐enrichment (PSAP) is introduced for concurrent antigen (47×) and RNA (44×) enrichment. Tenfold and fivefold lower detection limits for SARS‐CoV‐2 and Influenza, respectively, were achieved.
