The Role of the Voice for Identity and Implications for Voice Cloning Technology
Abstract Recent advances in generative AI have made voice cloning widely accessible, raising pressing legal and ethical concerns. Besides economic harm and misuse in fraud or blackmail, the voice’s intricate connection to identity highlights a further dimension of risk, as argued in a recent article by Berkowitz and Sweeney.

ABHD17C‐mediated depalmitoylation of BCL6B at Cys442 blocks its nuclear import and triggers ubiquitin‐dependent degradation, attenuating transcriptional repression of the anti‐phagocytic signal CD24. This mechanism enables pancreatic cancer cells to evade macrophage phagocytosis and fosters an immunosuppressive microenvironment.

Here, we establish a quantitative relationship between the electrostriction coefficient (Q33) of FRPs and their interplanar spacing (d): Q33 = 100(Δd/d0+1) × Q33(s). Using this model, we fabricated high‐performance soft robots, including a biomimetic crawler (with a speed of 27 cm/s) and a butterfly (with a thrust‐to‐weight ratio of 0.71).
