Chronic stress increases the production of volatile sulphur compounds in rats

open access: yesThe FASEB Journal, 2008
In the great majority of cases, halitosis is originated in the mouth itself and psychological symptoms have been pointed out as one of halitosis‐inducing factor. The aim of this study was to evaluate, in laboratory animals, the effect of chronic mild stress (CMS) on the production of volatile sulfur compounds (VSC), the main component of bad breath ...

High‐Efficiency Precipitate Recycling Strategy Paves the Way for Efficient Sb2S3 Solar Cells Fabricated by CBD Method

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A novel PR strategy was proposed to improve CBD‐derived Sb2S3 film quality. It synergistically optimized the CBO of CdS/Sb2S3 interface and the back‐contact barrier, while the VS2 donor defect was converted into SSb2 acceptor defect with lower concentration.

Interface‐Directed High Fluorescence Efficiency Two‐Dimensional Molecular Crystals With Surface‐Exposed Active Sites

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Here, we designed the Me‐FBSe molecule and prepared a two‐dimensional molecular crystal via liquid‐liquid interface assembly. The crystal preserves the high photoluminescence quantum while simultaneously ensuring the high‐density surface exposure of active sites.

Multiscale Coupling From Mastication to Retronasal Aroma Perception: The PG‐DTCFN Model and Multiphysics Simulation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Using grilled lamb skewers as a model system, this work builds a multiscale coupling framework from oral processing to retronasal aroma perception, reveals dual‐kinetic release patterns and Electroencephalogram‐characterized central encoding features, and proposes an interpretable physics‐guided deep learning model validated by multiphysics simulation,

Investigation of Artefact Formation During Analysis of Volatile Sulphur Compounds Using Solid Phase Microextraction (SPME)

open access: yes, 2004
The occurrence and origin of artefact formation during the analysis of volatile sulphur compounds in air by PDMS/Carboxen fibre were investigated. Among the studied compounds (hydrogen sulphide, carbon disulphide, diethyl sulphide, methyl ethyl sulphide,

Metal Battery Anode: Rich in Electrons, Rich in Problems: A Critical Review from Industrial Perspectives

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Metal‐anode batteries using Li, Na, Mg, and Ca offer exceptionally high energy density, but dendrites, unstable interphases, cracking, and pore formation hinder durability and safety. This review shows how careful electrolyte and interphase design can stabilize these reactive metals.

Gas Sensing With Aerogels: A Critical Review on Structure‐Property Correlations and Performance Optimization

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
With high specific surface area, and adjustable interface, aerogel provides a multi‐functional platform for gas sensing. This review systematically links structural parameters (specific surface area, pore size, heterojunctions) to sensing metrics (sensitivity, selectivity, stability), critically evaluates optimization strategies, and outlines future ...
