The cell reaction entropy of hard carbon/Na metal cells at different states of charge was derived from the cell voltage variation caused by stepwise temperature changes. The magnitude of the cell reaction entropy indicated complete desolvation of the sodium ions upon the sodiation of hard carbon.

Schematic of NiMoO4 synthesis and oxygen evolution reaction (OER) performance. Ni/Mo precursor solution with agar is calcined and deposited on a glassy‐carbon electrode, yielding NiMoO4 that catalyzes the OER (H2O → O2).
