We analyze the effects of a distortion of the nuclear potential of a molecular quantum dot (QD), as well as a shift of its equilibrium position, on nonequilibrium-vibration-assisted tunneling through the QD with a single level ($\epsilon_d$) coupled to ...

Theory Based on Device Current Clipping to Explain and Predict Performance Including Distortion of Power Amplifiers for Wireless Communication Systems [PDF]
Power amplifiers are critical components in wireless communication systems that need to have high efficiency, in order to conserve battery life and minimise heat generation, and at the same time low distortion, in order to prevent increase of bit ...

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

Low-distortion low-voltage operational transconductance amplifier [PDF]
A new operational transconductance amplifier (OTA) is proposed, which is based on the flipped voltage follower and source degeneration techniques. The OTA is simulated in a standard TSMC 0.18 μm CMOS process with a 1.8 V supply voltage. The simulation results show that the total harmonic distortion of the proposed OTA is less than 1% up to 0.85 Vp-p.

Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

MSSB to Prevent Cable Termination Faults for Long High Voltage Underground Cable Lines
Cable termination fault is one of the most important problems for high voltage underground cable lines (HVUCL). Harmonic current (HC) and the sheath current (SC) are causes of cable termination faults of HVUCL.

Control Strategy of 1 kV Hybrid Active Power Filter for Mining Applications
The paper presents a shunt hybrid active power filter for 1 kV mining applications in configuration with a single-tuned passive filter. The focus is on the method of controlling the filter, with particular emphasis on the influence of network voltage ...

Low distortion automatic phase control circuit [PDF]
A voltage controlled phase shifter is rendered substantially harmonic distortion free over a large dynamic input range by employing two oppositely poled, equally biased varactor diodes as the voltage controlled elements which adjust the phase shift ...

We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

NKCC1: A key regulator of glioblastoma progression
Glioblastoma (GBM) progression is driven by disrupted chloride cotransporter homeostasis. NKCC1 is highly expressed in stem‐like, astrocytic, and progenitor cells, correlating with earlier recurrence, while overall survival remains unaffected. NKCC1 serves as a prognostic marker and potential therapeutic target, linking chloride transporter imbalance ...
