Mesoscopic Voltage Fluctuations in Luttinger Liquids
Physical Review Letters, 1997In this Letter, the mesoscopic voltage and conductance fluctuations of a Luttinger liquid are examined. For quasiballistic wires, one finds that the amplitude of conductance fluctuations, i.e., $\mathrm{Var}(G)$, is proportional to ${T}^{4g\ensuremath{-}5}$ where $g\phantom{\rule{0ex}{0ex}}=\phantom{\rule{0ex}{0ex}}\ensuremath{\pi}\ensuremath{\Elzxh}v(\

Voltage Fluctuations in Lamps and Ballasts
IEEE Industry Applications Magazine, 2011This article shows that lamp aging has a significant correlation with flicker generation. In this research work, a test system and a methodology able to measure optical fluctuation produced by different types of lamps and ballast are presented. This experimental platform provides a correlation between voltage flicker levels and optical flicker ...

Voltage Fluctuations in a Diode
Physical Review, 1968A thermodynamically consistent microscopic model is used to derive a Fokker-Planck equation governing voltage fluctuations across a diode in the limit of small electron charge. In going to this limit, strong nonlinearities in the diode current characteristic are allowed to persist for voltages in the range of the thermal fluctuations.

Fluorescent lamp modelling for voltage fluctuations
European Transactions on Electrical Power, 2001AbstractThe wide use of fluorescent lamps means their influence on the power system needs to be studied. A set of models that enables the evaluation of the electrical behaviour during steady state is presented in this paper. These models have different levels of complexity; starting by taking into account all the non‐linearities of the lamp, passing ...

Voltage fluctuations and flicker
2001Changes in the amplitude of a voltage for a period which is longer than the period of the voltage under consideration is designated a voltage fluctuation. Such voltage fluctuations can occur once, several times, randomly or regularly. The voltage fluctuation in the form of a jump, a ramp or any quasi course is described by the value of the relative ...

Limiting low frequency interharmonic distortion and voltage fluctuations
IEEE PES General Meeting, 2010Limiting low frequency interharmonic distortion and voltage fluctuations is considered. Reference is made to recent activities in the standard review process and to research literature regarding this specific topic and related issues. Some recalls on the main low frequency interharmonic voltages effects are reported.

Determination of the parameters of voltage variation with voltage fluctuation indices
2016 17th International Conference on Harmonics and Quality of Power (ICHQP), 2016A set of parameters that describe the quality of power in power grids includes several measures of voltage variation. Among these measures are the voltage fluctuation indices, composed of magnitude, δU, and rate, ƒ, of fluctuations. This paper provides an example of the use of this measure to reconstruct the voltage changes.

Voltage fluctuations in Josephson tunnel junctions
Physica B+C, 1981Abstract Starting from microscopic theory of the Josephson tunnel junctions, the general expression for the power spectrum of small voltage fluctuations SV(ω) is obtained. According to this expression, SV(ω) could be considered as a result of parametric conversion of “original fluctuations” at composite frequencies ωn=ω+nωv ( ω v = 2 e V

Voltage induced capacitance fluctuations in a compressed gas, high voltage capacitor
Journal of Physics E: Scientific Instruments, 1975Capacitance fluctuations of the order of a few parts/million have been observed in a 330 kV capacitor after operating at 300 kV for 30 min. It has been concluded that the capacitance fluctuations are due to convection of the compressed CO2 gas, caused by dielectric heating of the insulating walls.
