Development of Thick-foil and Fine-pitch GEMs with a Laser Etching Technique
We have produced thick-foil and fine-pitch gas electron multipliers (GEMs) using a laser etching technique. To improve production yield we have employed a new material, Liquid Crystal Polymer, instead of polyimide as an insulator layer.

A Bipolar Voltage Gain Boost AC-AC Converter Based on Four Switching Transistors
In numerous applications, such as the correction of grid voltage during voltage sag or swell events caused by system faults, it is necessary to ensure the stabilization of the output voltage with in-phase and out-phase features.

Simulation of gain stability of THGEM gas-avalanche particle detectors
Charging-up processes affecting gain stability in Thick Gas Electron Multipliers (THGEM) were studied with a dedicated simulation toolkit. Integrated with Garfield++, it provides an effective platform for systematic phenomenological studies of charging ...

ABSTRACT Background and Aims Wilms tumour (WT) has excellent event‐free and overall survival (OS). However, small differences exist between countries participating in the same international study. This led us to examine variation in adherence to protocol recommendations as a potential contributing factor.

Low-Voltage Stress Buck-Boost Converter With a High-Voltage Conversion Gain
The conventional buck-boost converter has the advantages of simple structure, low cost, and the capability to achieve both voltage step-up and down. However, due to the negative impacts of the parasitic parameters of the device, the voltage conversion ...

Resonant Mechanism for a Long-Distance Wireless Power Transfer Using Class E PA and GaN HEMT
This paper presents a study on long-distance wireless power transfer (WPT), which formulates the voltage gain in terms of the coupling coefficient between the power transmitting unit (PTU) and the power receiving unit (PRU) coils.

We have investigated the effects of X-ray irradiation to doses of 0, 200 Gy, 20 kGy, 2 MGy, and 20 MGy on the Hamamatsu silicon-photomultiplier (SiPM) S10362-11-050C. The SiPMs were irradiated without applied bias voltage.

ABSTRACT Arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) are rare, high‐flow, vascular anomalies that can occur either sporadically or as part of a genetic syndrome. AVMs can progress with serious morbidity and even mortality if left unchecked. Sirolimus is an mTOR inhibitor that is effective in low‐flow vascular malformations; however, its role in AVMs is unclear.
