Topological quantum codes from self-complementary self-dual graphs

open access: yes, 2015
In this paper we present two new classes of binary quantum codes with minimum distance of at least three, by self-complementary self-dual orientable embeddings of voltage graphs and Paley graphs in the Galois field GF(pr), where p is a prime number and r

Modeling hepatic fibrosis in TP53 knockout iPSC‐derived human liver organoids

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study developed iPSC‐derived human liver organoids with TP53 gene knockout to model human liver fibrosis. These organoids showed elevated myofibroblast activation, early disease markers, and advanced fibrotic hallmarks. The use of profibrotic differentiation medium further amplified the fibrotic signature seen in the organoids.

Full control of qubit rotations in a voltage-biased superconducting flux qubit

open access: yes, 2006
We study a voltage-controlled version of the superconducting flux qubit [Chiorescu et al., Science 299, 1869 (2003)] and show that full control of qubit rotations on the entire Bloch sphere can be achieved.

In vitro properties of patient serum predict clinical outcome after high dose rate brachytherapy of hepatocellular carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Following high dose rate brachytherapy (HDR‐BT) for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), patients were classified as responders and nonresponders. Post‐therapy serum induced increased BrdU incorporation and Cyclin E expression of Huh7 and HepG2 cells in nonresponders, but decreased levels in responders.

Lifting Voltages in Graph Covers

open access: yes
We consider voltage digraphs, here referred to as graphs, whose edges are labeled with elements from a given group, and explore their derived graphs. Given two voltage graphs, with voltages in abelian groups, we establish a necessary and sufficient condition for their two derived graphs to be isomorphic.

Improved Appliance Classification in Non-Intrusive Load Monitoring Using Weighted Recurrence Graph and Convolutional Neural Networks

open access: yesEnergies, 2020
Appliance recognition is one of the vital sub-tasks of NILM in which a machine learning classier is used to detect and recognize active appliances from power measurements.

Inhibition of CDK9 enhances AML cell death induced by combined venetoclax and azacitidine

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The CDK9 inhibitor AZD4573 downregulates c‐MYC and MCL‐1 to induce death of cytarabine (AraC)‐resistant AML cells. This enhances VEN + AZA‐induced cell death significantly more than any combination of two of the three drugs in AraC‐resistant AML cells.

Voltage graphs, weight systems and odd symmetry

open access: yesDiscrete Mathematics, 2001
A knot in the three-sphere \(S^{3}\) is called invertible if there exists an orientation preserving homeomorphism of \(S^{3}\) which takes the knot to itself with reverse orientation. It is an interesting problem whether Vassiliev invariants can detect the invertibility of a knot.

A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.
