Voltage power line conditioner - voltage restoring mode

2005 European Conference on Power Electronics and Applications, 2005
This paper describes the modified structure of voltage source power line conditioner. The principals of operation and basic properties in voltage restoring mode have been introduced. Some simulation results in typical disturbance of distribution network voltage cases have been obtained and discussed.

Sleep-Mode Voltage Scaling

ACM Transactions on Embedded Computing Systems, 2016
In heavily duty-cycled embedded systems, the energy consumed by the microcontroller in idle mode is often the bottleneck for battery lifetime. Existing solutions address this problem by placing the microcontroller in a low-power (sleep) mode when idle and preserving application state either by retaining the data

Voltage-mode defuzzification circuits

International Journal of Electronics, 1994
The defuzzification interface is an important building block of a fuzzy logic controller (FLC). In this paper we describe two major methods for defuzzification and suitable analogue implementations for voltage-mode operation. A full rail-to-rail voliage range can be obiained using a fixed gain amplifier. SPICE simulations are presenied for each circuit.

Failure Modes during Low-Voltage Electrowetting

ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, 2016
Low-voltage electrowetting devices allow significant contact angle changes below a 50 V bias; however, operation under prolonged cycling and failure modes have not yet been sufficiently elucidated. In this work, the failure modes and performance degradation of Cytop (23-210 nm)/aluminum oxide (15-44 nm) bilayers have been investigated.
