Steady state analysis of voltage multiplier ladder switched-capacitor cell
2016 12th IEEE International Conference on Industry Applications (INDUSCON), 2016Switched capacitor converters have become an alternative for high gain power conversion. The ladder switched capacitor cell is used for voltage multiplying and, when associated with other conventional converters in hybrid topologies, it does not need any additional controlled switches for the cell. There are solutions in literature for the steady state

The folded Gilbert cell: a low voltage high performance CMOS multiplier
[1992] Proceedings of the 35th Midwest Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2003Three linearity-improved implementations of a Gilbert cell in CMOS technology are presented. They have low voltage supply requirements and wide input signal ranges on both inputs. Experimental results of a CMOS test chip are presented. The utilization of the cell as a very wide tuning range linear transconductor is discussed. >

Analysis and design of a control approach for a boost converter with voltage multiplier cell
XI Brazilian Power Electronics Conference, 2011This paper presents the design of a control system for the boost converter with voltage multiplier cell. The adopted strategy employs an inner loop for the input current control and an outer loop for the output voltage regulation. As with the conventional boost converter, this strategy allows the improvement of the dynamic response of the converter and

Voltage Multiplier Cells Applied to Non-Isolated DC–DC Converters
IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 2008This paper introduces the use of the voltage multiplier technique applied to the classical non-isolated dc-dc converters in order to obtain high step-up static gain, reduction of the maximum switch voltage, zero current switching turn-on. The diodes reverse recovery current problem is minimized and the voltage multiplier also operates as a regenerative

Switched-Capacitor-Cell-Based Voltage Multipliers and DC–AC Inverters
IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications, 2012In this paper, several modular converter topologies based on a switched-capacitor-cell concept are introduced for high-power applications. Two types of switched-capacitor cells, including the full cell and the half-cell, are discussed. The full cell can be used for dc-ac inversion, and the half-cell is utilized in both dc-dc and dc-ac applications.

SUMMARYSeries connections of energy storage cells, such as lithium‐ion cells and electric double‐layer capacitors (EDLCs), require cell‐voltage equalizers to ensure years of operation. Conventional equalizers require multiple switches, magnetic components, and/or secondary windings of a multiwinding transformer in proportion to the number of series ...

An Extendable Soft‐Switched Step‐Up Interleaved Converter Integrated With Voltage Multiplier Cells
International Journal of Circuit Theory and ApplicationsABSTRACT In this paper, a multiphase high step‐up interleaved converter is introduced, which ensures low‐input current ripple, low‐component currents, and voltage stresses. The proposed circuit guarantees ZVS operation for power switches and ZCS operation for power diodes, which significantly reduce converter switching losses and EMI ...
