High voltage gain boost converter based on three-state switching cell and voltage multipliers
2008 34th Annual Conference of IEEE Industrial Electronics, 2008A new type of non-isolated step-up converter with high voltage gain is proposed on this work. It is suitable for applications with a high voltage gain between the input and the output stages. In this converter, the output to input voltage ratio, for a given duty cycle, can be raised by adding voltage multiplier stages of capacitors (mc). The theoretical

SUMMARYSeries connections of energy storage cells, such as lithium‐ion cells and electric double‐layer capacitors (EDLCs), require cell‐voltage equalizers to ensure years of operation. Conventional equalizers require multiple switches, magnetic components, and/or secondary windings of a multiwinding transformer in proportion to the number of series ...

Step-up converter with high voltage gain employing three-state switching cell and voltage multiplier
2008 IEEE Power Electronics Specialists Conference, 2008This work proposes a new non-isolated DC-DC converter with high voltage gain using a three-state switching cell and voltage multiplier stages based on capacitors. The value of the gain can be modified depending on the requirements of the application by means of the number of multiplier stages and the duty cycle.

Traditional energy storage systems consisting of lithium-ion battery cells or electric double-layer capacitors (EDLCs) connected in series require a cell voltage equalizer in addition to a bidirectional PWM converter. The system is prone to complexity as two converters (i.e., the equalizer and bidirectional converter) are separately necessary.

The folded Gilbert cell: a low voltage high performance CMOS multiplier
[1992] Proceedings of the 35th Midwest Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2003Three linearity-improved implementations of a Gilbert cell in CMOS technology are presented. They have low voltage supply requirements and wide input signal ranges on both inputs. Experimental results of a CMOS test chip are presented. The utilization of the cell as a very wide tuning range linear transconductor is discussed. >

Analysis and Design of Isolated SEPIC Converter with Greinacher Voltage Multiplier Cell
Anais do Congresso Brasileiro de Automática 2020, 2020High step-up converters are required and used in photovoltaic applications, due to low voltage of photovoltaic modules. In this paper, an isolated dc-dc high step-up SEPIC with a Greinacher voltage doubler cell is presented. It has the advantage of continuous input current, high efficiency, high voltage gain, isolation and demands a single switch ...

Reduced order model of the boost converter with voltage multiplier cell
XI Brazilian Power Electronics Conference, 2011The boost converter with voltage multiplier cell allows the extension of static gain by means of the switching capacitor technique, reducing the duty cycle needed to achieve the same voltage gain when compared to the conventional boost converter. However, the modeling of this converter is complex and requires the use of advanced techniques due to the ...
