CHARACTERISTICS OF SPECIALIZED SINGLE-PHASE HIGH VOLTAGE DOUBLER RECTIFIER
Introduction. To obtain a high voltage direct current, voltage multipliers with a number of cascades of three or more are widely used. At the same time, for voltage levels of 100…200 kV there are several advantages of using a specialized single-phase ...

Low-voltage, four-quadrant, analogueCMOS multiplier
A CMOS four quadrant analogue multiplier that can operate from a supply voltage of 1.5 V is described. The multiplier requires two linear transconductors whose input transistors are operated in their linear region. Simulation results indicate that the nonlinearity can be kept below 0.8%, across the entire differential input voltage range of +or-400 mV.

Dynamic Precipitation during High‐Pressure Torsion of a Magnesium–Manganese Alloy
An ultrafine‐grained alloy is produced by high‐pressure torsion of solutionized Mg–1.35 wt% Mn. Precipitation of nanometer‐scale Mn particles during deformation provides pinning sites. This prevents the formation of a bimodal grain structure and results in a finer grain size than for pure Mg.

Thick GEM-like multipliers - a simple solution for large area UV-RICH detectors
We report on the properties of thick GEM-like (THGEM) electron multipliers made of 0.4 mm thick double-sided Cu-clad G-10 plates, perforated with a dense hexagonal array of 0.3 mm diameter drilled holes. Photon detectors comprising THGEMs coupled to semi-

The effect of temperature controllers that are commonly used in freeze‐casting is investigated in this work. Temperature controllers are observed to generate a voltage in the slurry. Microstructural alignment and ultimate compressive strength data show this voltage to interfere with the ability to align the microstructure using magnetic fields ...

Curvature‐tuned auxetic lattices are designed, fabricated, and mechanically characterized to reveal how geometric curvature governs stretchability, stress redistribution, and Poisson's ratio evolution. Photoelastic experiments visualize stress pathways, while hyperelastic simulations quantify deformation mechanics.
