Effects of wind turbines on voltage profile
International Aegean Conference on Electrical Machines and Power Electronics and Electromotion, Joint Conference, 2011For distribution grids connected wind power generation, voltage quality is an important issue for the system planning purpose. The operation of wind turbines in the distribution networks may affect the voltage quality offered to the consumers. One of the most important considerations is the effect on the voltage profile, i.e.

Capacitance-voltage profiling of multiquantum well structures
Solid-State Electronics, 1997Abstract A relatively simple procedure for calculation of the capacitance-voltage ( C - V ) concentration profile N CV ( z ) of a multiquantum well (MQW) structure has been derived. The dependence of a separate C - V concentration peak on the temperature and the period of the MQW structure is considered.

Calculation of voltage profiles along transmission lines
IEEE Transactions on Power Delivery, 1997A method for calculating transient voltages and currents at a large number of intermediate points along a transmission line is presented. In the family of EMTP-type programs, these "profile" calculations are normally made by explicitly connecting a number of short line sections to create intermediate nodes where voltages and currents can be monitored ...

Voltage profiles and closures on Rogowski coils
IEE Proceedings - Electric Power Applications, 2002The voltage profiles along Rogowski coils are calculated, and three alternative ways of closing the loop are compared. In plane layouts the induced voltage is uniformly distributed with respect to the angle subtended at the measured current, but is not uniform along the coil length.

Capacitance-voltage profiling of quantum well structures
Journal of Applied Physics, 1996Capacitance-voltage (C-V) analysis of high quality MBE grown quantum well samples shows that carrier distributions are averaged over the scale of the Debye length. This averaging process results in strongly temperature dependent C-V-deduced doping distributions that can be very different from the actual ones. The doping distribution of the structure is

Determination of dopant profiles by voltage measurements
IEEE Transactions on Electron Devices, 1977The dopant profile in the channel of a double-gated J-FET with uniformly doped channel and substrate is determined from measurements of gate voltage pairs at pinchoff. This procedure offers advantages over the C-V method in cases of imprecisely known gate area, or in the presence of significant stray capacitance.

Distributed generation and the voltage profile on distribution feeders during voltage dips
Electric Power Systems Research, 2010Abstract The presence of distributed generators in the distribution network results in an increase of the voltage magnitude close to these generators, during a fault elsewhere in the distribution system or in the transmission system. This voltage dip mitigation capability of converter-connected distributed generation (DG) units is dependent on the ...

Voltage profile estimation and control of a distribution feeder
2008 IEEE/IAS Industrial and Commercial Power Systems Technical Conference, 2008Monitoring the voltage profile of a distribution feeder can improve the reliability and quality of the distribution power system. However, economic constraints limit widespread deployment of monitoring equipment. This paper presents a method to estimate the voltage profile of a radial distribution feeder with limited number of monitoring points.

Characterization of flow and voltage profiles in planar electrochromatography
Journal of Chromatography A, 2005Planar electrochromatography (PEC) is a new technology for thin layer chromatography (TLC) where the separation is driven by electroosmotic forces, not capillary action. This allows for much faster and more efficient chromatography in a planar format. Care needs to be taken when performing these experiments because voltage and flow characteristics can ...
