Series Voltage Regulator to Regulate Voltage at Distribution Side

2018 International Conference on Inventive Research in Computing Applications (ICIRCA), 2018
With the evolution of smart grids, the need for reliable supply of electricity is an important issue. Among the different power quality issues concerning the consumers at distribution level, voltage swells and sags are critical power quality issues in distribution system. With the increase in complexity of electronics equipment in commercial appliances,

Stability of Voltage Regulators

Transactions of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers, 1950
THE PRESENCE in many voltage regulator circuits of nonlinear control elements has prevented a complete mathematical treatment of the subject. However, Liapounoff's theory1 ofthe stability of dynamic systems affords a solution to the problem of stability of electric circuits subjected to small displacements from equilibrium.

Transistor voltage regulator

Transactions of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers, Part I: Communication and Electronics, 1956
THIS paper describes a transistor voltage regulator circuit which takes advantage of the high voltage gain and low emitter resistance exhibited by the junction transistor. Emphasis is on a regulator circuit using a single transistor.

Hybrid Voltage Regulator

2016
A primary issue in the design of a conventional on-chip voltage converter is the physical area. The on-chip passive LC filter within a monolithic buck converter occupies a large area. Multiple on-chip buck converters are therefore infeasible due to the significant area of the passive components (such as in a multi-voltage microprocessor).

Voltage regulator performance

1987
Voltage regulators fitted to private motor cars were required to operate within the range of 15.8 to 16.4 volts, and the following investigation (Desmond, 1954) was conducted to estimate the pattern of variability encountered in production. Normal procedure was for a regulator from the production line to be passed to one of a number of setting stations,

A Voltage Regulator

Journal of Scientific Instruments, 1942
A D.C. regulating circuit based on the use of a Stabilovolt tube is described. This circuit allows much greater loads to be handled than the regulator tube in the normal set-up is capable of doing. This is achieved by the insertion of a small metal rectifier in the link connecting the load to the rectifier circuit.

Bridge Voltage Regulators

Journal of Scientific Instruments, 1944
The majority of the voltage-regulating devices described in recent years, especially those of the thermionic type, are restricted in their application to the stabilization of currents of the order of a few milliamperes. Bridge voltage regulators, in which one or more of the bridge arms consist of barretters or electronic semi-conductors, are capable of
