A Low-Ripple Voltage Tripler

2006 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2006
This paper presents a low-ripple voltage tripler charge-pump intended to provide a stable supply voltage to the cascaded circuits, thus allowing relaxed design specifications of the latter. The structure, which is implemented by means of an array of charge pump modules sequentially enabled, was developed for a phase-change memory (PCM) device, but it ...

Reduction of voltage drop and ripple in voltage multipliers

2015 17th European Conference on Power Electronics and Applications (EPE'15 ECCE-Europe), 2015
In this paper we present a novel topology for high voltage generation based on the widely used Half-Wave Cockcroft-Walton voltage multiplier. The proposed topology consists of several voltage multiplying sections fed separately at their inputs and whose output voltages are summated across the load. Using the proposed topology we can attain over m times

DC link voltage ripple of voltage-source active rectifiers

2016 17th International Scientific Conference on Electric Power Engineering (EPE), 2016
The paper deals with the DC link voltage ripple of voltage-source active rectifiers switched by PWM. The DC link voltage is maintained constant by a converter control; it fluctuates around the desired value. Therefore the first part of the paper describes the influence of voltage-source active rectifier parameters on the DC link voltage ripple.

Ripple Voltage Mitigation for Multilevel SSBC STATCOM

2020 IEEE 9th International Power Electronics and Motion Control Conference (IPEMC2020-ECCE Asia), 2020
Performance of multilevel single-star bridge-cell (SSBC) STATCOM is affected by the low-frequency oscillation in the dc capacitors’ voltages which is originated due to the double line frequency component on the absorbed active power. To avoid using big capacitors to limit this oscillation.
