ABSTRACT Power lines in synthetic‐aperture radar (SAR) images are reflected as point signatures, which fluctuate annually in both the azimuth and range directions. A novel framework is proposed in this paper to evaluate the four‐dimensional dynamic status of power line sag using those point signatures in time‐series SAR images.

System voltage sag performance estimation
Voltage sags are considered as the most important power quality problem for customers in Singapore. It can occur at any location in a power distribution system. Unfortunately, customers in all sectors such as residential, commercial and industrial have more sensitive loads compared to 10 years ago. As a result, customers with sensitive loads would like

Flap Anatomies and Victorian Veils: Penetrating the Female Reproductive Interior
ABSTRACT This article examines the reappearance in the early nineteenth century of anatomical flapbooks in the context of obstetrical education in Britain, America and France. It asks why liftable paper flaps were reintroduced at this time after their disappearance from medical atlases in the eighteenth century.

Rent control, rent overcharge, and racial disparity
Abstract Rent control policies have gained renewed legislative momentum in the United States, but are rent‐regulated landlords adhering to these policies? Answering this question is critical to understanding the policy's impact. Using a unique panel data set from the New York City Housing and Vacancy Survey (NYCHVS), we investigate noncompliance with ...

Writing about a Prime Minister: Reflections on How Malcolm Fraser PM Happened
In 1989 I published Malcolm Fraser PM, a study of the way that prime minister Fraser worked. In this note I muse about the back story, about the processes involved in writing a study of a recently defeated prime minister, explaining how the book was written and what could be learnt from the interactions with Fraser.
