Voltage-type Г-source inverters

open access: yes, 2012
A new family of voltage-type Γ-source inverters is proposed in this paper. It uses a unique Γ-shaped impedance network for boosting its output voltage in addition to its usual voltage buck mode inherited from a traditional voltage-source inverter.

3D‐Printed Porous Hydroxyapatite Formed via Enzymatic Mineralization

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Bone combines lightness, strength, and the ability to heal, inspiring new materials design. This work introduces a room‐temperature, enzyme‐mediated 3D printing method to create porous hydroxyapatite scaffolds. The process avoids energy‐intensive sintering, preserves bioactivity, and allows control over porosity and mineralization.

Split‐source inverter with adaptive control scheme‐based shunt active power filter for power quality improvement

open access: yesIET Power Electronics
Although single‐stage inverters are popular for simpler design they face difficulties in shoot‐through mode operation. Insufficient DC voltage regulation and complicated LC network are principal drawbacks of these topologies. A new split source inverter (

Triple-Voltage Gain and Self-Balancing in a New Switched-Capacitor Seven-Level Inverter for Microgrid Integration

open access: yesEnergies
In the context of power electronic interfaces in photovoltaic (PV), fuel cell, battery, and microgrid applications, the low output voltage of the DC source necessitates a voltage-boosting inverter. This paper proposes a single-source seven-level switched-

Microcontroller Based Variable Frequency Power Inverter [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
The variable frequency inverters have been used in wide applications, such as speed control of induction motors. The variable speed operation of a single phase and three-phase induction motors suffer from large harmonic and limited speed range. Therefore,

Scalable Polyelectrolyte Complex‐Based Sorbent With Hourly Sorption−Desorption Cycles for Multicyclic Atmospheric Water Harvesting in Arid Environments

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A polyelectrolyte complex‐based sorbent is produced by scalable, environmentally benign aqueous phase inversion. Its porous, LiCl‐ and GO‐integrated architecture enables hourly adsorption−desorption cycles at low relative humidity (RH < 30%). A large‐scale prototype achieves multicyclic, solar‐driven atmospheric water harvesting of 1.37 L kg−1 day−1 ...

Bioinspired Stabilization of Fluorescent Au@SiO2 Tracers for Multimodal Biological Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates a bioinspired stabilization strategy for fluorescent gold‐silica nanoparticles. Inspired by natural biosilica maturation, high‐temperature calcination transforms the silica shells, preventing dissolution in cell culture media and intracellular environments.
