Voltage control of current source inverters
IEEE Transactions on Energy Conversion, 2006The current source inverters may become direct competitors of the voltage source inverters thanks to the voltage control techniques. The paper proposes an improved voltage control technique for current source inverters, that chooses the current vectors relying on bang-bang controllers.

Proceedings of the 1992 International Conference on Industrial Electronics, Control, Instrumentation, and Automation, 2003The authors present a fully functional voltage controlled current source inverter (VC-CSI) three-phase inverter that can closely track a given voltage reference signal and also provide various performance improvements. The adaptive SPWM control method has been used to force the output voltage to track the respective sinusoidal reference signals.

Predictive current control of voltage source inverters

No.37243), 2002A new current controller for a voltage source inverter based on calculation of an electromotive force is presented in this paper. Practical aspects of realizing the new controller in a system with a signal processor are considered. Delays introduced by measurements are taken into consideration.

2007 International Aegean Conference on Electrical Machines and Power Electronics, 2007The use of pulse width modulated (PWM) inverters is nearly universal in industrial drives, making accurate voltage measurements problematic due to the switching nature of the applied phase voltage. Often, the applied phase voltage is reconstructed by using a combination of the DC link voltage and the commanded PWM duty cycle.

Voltage source inverters for high-power, variable-voltage DC power sources
IEE Proceedings - Generation, Transmission and Distribution, 2001The paper discusses the applications of voltage source inverter (VSI) based power electronic systems for interfacing variable-voltage DC sources to the grid. A variable-speed wind power conversion system is used for illustration, where the VSI-based interface needs to convert a variable DC voltage to a nearly constant AC voltage with high-quality power.
