Voltage stability assessment: Voltage control inadequacy problem
2018 Simposio Brasileiro de Sistemas Eletricos (SBSE), 2018The problem of voltage control inadequacy in voltage control devices in a power system is revealed, when an inverse relationship between controlling and controlled variables exists. The voltage control inverse relationship could adversely affect the voltage profile in a power system, thus, it is necessary to determine the relationship between ...

Detecting transient voltage stability and voltage sag
COMPEL - The international journal for computation and mathematics in electrical and electronic engineering, 2004This paper presents method to discriminate between transient voltage stability and voltage sag. The discrete wavelet transform (WT) is a powerful tool in the analysis of the transient phenomena in power systems because of its ability to extract information in both the time and frequency domain.

Accelerator terminal voltage stability
Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research Section B: Beam Interactions with Materials and Atoms, 1992Abstract Measurements reported at the 11th International Conference on Applications of Accelerators in Research and Industry [Schroeder et al., Nucl. Instr. and Meth. B56/B57 (1991) 1033] for a 1 MV single-ended Pelletron accelerator equipped with corona probe and tank liner voltage stabilizers have been extended by measuring the resonant yield of γ ...

Practical Voltage Stability Analysis
IEEE PES General Meeting, 2010Voltage Stability Analysis has become more important as a result of insufficient reactive resources in bulk transmission systems. Usually the objective of Voltage Stability Analysis is to identify the weak regions in terms of reactive power deficiency and determine the critical contingencies and voltage stability margins for various power transfers ...

On voltage stability regions and voltage secondary control
PowerTech Budapest 99. Abstract Records. (Cat. No.99EX376), 2003This paper presents some new results on the geometry of the reactive load-flow problem. These results have implications in order to asses the system margin to the voltage collapse and to design a secondary voltage control aimed to avoid the voltage collapse.

Review of Scientific Instruments, 1937
A new voltage stabilizer circuit is described. The circuit is of the bridge type wherein an essentially constant current is maintained in the output resistor. The particular feature of the circuit is the elimination of transients in the output voltage due to changes in emission of the cathode of the type 78 stabilizer tube.

A New Line Voltage Stability Index (NLVSI) For Voltage Stability Assessment
2019Power system is probably one of the most complex dynamical systems. In these systems, active and reactive power demand is increasing day by day, other way it can be said that the stress on these systems is increasing. Under these stressed conditions, they are operating at the stability limits to meet their load demand.
