Review of Scientific Instruments, 1937
A new voltage stabilizer circuit is described. The circuit is of the bridge type wherein an essentially constant current is maintained in the output resistor. The particular feature of the circuit is the elimination of transients in the output voltage due to changes in emission of the cathode of the type 78 stabilizer tube.

TENCON '91. Region 10 International Conference on EC3-Energy, Computer, Communication and Control Systems, 2005
Radial voltage stability poses problems for power system planners and operators. This paper presents methods and aids which can meet the quite distinct needs of both planners and operators, with an emphasis on the practical aspects of the problem. An actual disturbance is described in which the first phase was due to system voltage instability, and ...

A New Line Voltage Stability Index (NLVSI) For Voltage Stability Assessment
2019Power system is probably one of the most complex dynamical systems. In these systems, active and reactive power demand is increasing day by day, other way it can be said that the stress on these systems is increasing. Under these stressed conditions, they are operating at the stability limits to meet their load demand.

On Electronic Voltage Stabilizers
Review of Scientific Instruments, 1939Voltage stabilizing circuits employing thermionic tubes can be classified into four groups, according to their derivation from (1) the transconductance bridge, (2) the amplification factor bridge, (3) the simple degenerative amplifier, and (4) combination circuits involving two or more of the foregoing classes or utilizing amplified control voltages ...

Introduction to Voltage Stability
2021Voltage stability is a branch of power system stability that has developed late. In general, the research on voltage stability can be divided into three stages. In Stage I from 1940s when the first voltage stability criterion dQ/dU [1] was put forward by Malkovich, a Russian scholar, to the mid-1970s, insufficient attention was been paid to voltage ...

In this chapter, we extend the techniques of intrinsic geometry and examine the problem of voltage stability in network theory. In order to carry out this investigation, we determine stability domains by first specifying the three-parameter model for the reformulation of the problem.

Voltage stability of microgrids
2019This chapter focuses on voltage stability of microgrids. Some control schemes to maintain voltages of all the buses of a microgrid at acceptable levels in normal conditions and after being subjected to disturbances will be presented. Voltage stability enhancement and reactive power sharing in inverter-based microgrids are discussed, including droop ...

Stabilization of Load Voltages
2015In the present chapter, the results of Chap. 10 for interpretation of changes or “kinematics” of load regimes are used. Obtained geometrical transformations describe the movement of an operating point along regulation and stabilization trajectories.
