Online Voltage Stability Assessment Using Artificial Neural Network considering Voltage stability indices

2020 21st National Power Systems Conference (NPSC), 2020
The role of voltage stability indicators (VSI) is prominent in ascertaining the power system voltage stability. This paper illustrates an implementation of the artificial neural network (ANN) based on the Levenberg Marquardt (LM) technique to forecast the voltage instability of the system using voltage stability indicators.

A comparison of transmission line voltage stability indices

2016 2nd International Conference on Advances in Electrical, Electronics, Information, Communication and Bio-Informatics (AEEICB), 2016
The modern power system networks are being executed under stressed conditions due to continuous increase in power demand. The voltage collapse can appear quite precipitously. So we need uninterrupted control of the system state. This paper compares the performance of several indices which furnish important information about the proximity of the system ...

Online Voltage Stability Assessment of Power System by Comparing Voltage Stability Indices and Extreme Learning Machine

2013
Nowadays the modern power systems are large complex systems and widely distributed geographically. The increase in demand, generator reaching reactive power limits and line/generator outages may operate the power system in stressed conditions leads to voltage instability or voltage collapse. Voltage stability has become of major concern among the power

STATIC LOAD MODELLING AND VOLTAGE STABILITY INDICES

International Journal of Power and Energy Systems, 2009
This paper analyzes the performance of some of the widely used voltage stability indices, namely, singular value, eigenvalue, and loading margin with different static load models. Well-known ZIP model is used to represent loads having components with different power to voltage sensitivities.

Prediction of Voltage Collapse in Power System Using Voltage Stability Indices

2016
Voltage collapse is the possible outcome of voltage instability. Voltage collapse occurs when the transmission lines are operating very close to their maximum capacity limits. This paper focuses on the usefulness of two voltage stability indices to find out the weak bus so that the appropriate measures can be taken in advance to avoid voltage collapse.
