Mitigation of Voltage Sag And Voltage Swell By Dynamic Voltage Restorer
2019 International Conference on Intelligent Computing and Control Systems (ICCS), 2019This work deals with reducing major voltage flickering problems by using dynamic voltage restoration and SPWM technique it helps to improve the power quality of the system. Even though voltage swag and swell occurs in transmission as well as distribution side but the problem is resolved only at the distribution side.

Detecting Voltage Swell, Interruption and Sag
2018 19th International Conference of Young Specialists on Micro/Nanotechnologies and Electron Devices (EDM), 2018Quality control of electrical energy and timely detection of interference and distortion of supply voltage is a very important task. This is necessary both to find the source of distortion, and to compensate for distortion. In this review, we consider the problem of detecting random events: voltage swell, interruption, and voltage sag in the power ...

Dynamic voltage restorer for mitigation of voltage sag and swell
2017 International Conference on Energy, Communication, Data Analytics and Soft Computing (ICECDS), 2017The electrical energy is a type of easily available energy. It can be efficiently converted to different forms of energies. With the increasing trend of utilization of electrical energy, Nowadays, consumer demands the energy with power quality, which is in fact affected by various internal and external factors of the power system.

Study on Compensation of Voltage Sag and Voltage Swell by Using DVR (Dynamic Voltage Restorer)
2018 International Conference on Current Trends towards Converging Technologies (ICCTCT), 2018Significant feature for electrical engineering is quality of power in modern days. Due to growing use of solid state, non-linear, power semiconductor switching devices power quality issues are formed. A power quality crisis refers to the problems that are cause by the increase of a non standard voltage or current or frequency.

Series Voltage Regulator for a Distribution Transformer to Compensate Voltage Sag/Swell
IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 2017This paper presents a series voltage regulator for a distribution transformer which addresses power quality issues in the electrical power distribution system. The proposed system is comprised of a line frequency transformer connected to a power electronic converter which is autoconnected on the secondary side. This autoconnection is facilitated by use

Voltage Sag and Swell Compensation in Integrated System using Advanced UPQC
2021 International Conference on Decision Aid Sciences and Application (DASA), 2021More generally, harmonics are produced when nonlinear loads are present in the system. In low and medium voltage application harmonics emissions are hazardous. In this paper, a novel UPQC is proposed for the compensation of voltage sag and voltage swell.

Extended Voltage Swell Ride-Through Capability for PWM Voltage-Source Rectifiers
IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 2002Voltage swells are one of the most harmful voltage disturbances for static power converters. A supply voltage increase may severely damage or trip converters, causing production and revenue losses. In the case of the PWM voltage source rectifier, a swell causes saturation of its control system, followed by a transition to 6-pulse operation that leaves ...

Characterizing voltage sags and swells using three-phase voltage ellipse parameters
2014 IEEE Industry Application Society Annual Meeting, 2014This paper presents an algorithm for detection, classification and characterization of voltage sags and swells in electricity networks, using three-phase voltage ellipse parameters. The proposed method employs the instantaneous magnitude of three-phase voltage signals in three axes, which are separated from each other by 120°.
