Robust Bounds on the Eigenvalues of Linear Systems With Delays and Their Applications in Stability Analysis

open access: yesInternational Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, Volume 35, Issue 16, Page 6636-6651, 10 November 2025.
ABSTRACT We review some known bounds on the eigenvalues of a matrix and use similar techniques to derive bounds for the class of nonlinear eigenproblems and, as a special case, the eigenvalues for LTI systems with delays. We present two classes of results.

Solvability of Nonlinear Integral Equations of Volterra Type

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2012
This paper deals with the existence of continuous bounded solutions for a rather general nonlinear integral equation of Volterra type and discusses also the existence and asymptotic stability of continuous bounded solutions for another nonlinear integral

Nonlinear Sequential Fractional Integro‐Differential Systems: Caputo‐Type Derivatives and Boundary Constraints

open access: yesMathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, Volume 48, Issue 16, Page 15194-15218, 15 November 2025.
ABSTRACT In recent years, the study of sequential fractional differential equations (SFDEs) has become increasingly important in multiple domains of science and engineering. This work investigates a new class of boundary value problems (BVPs) characterized by nonlocal closed boundary conditions involving SFDEs with Caputo fractional integral operators.

Existence of Hydra Effect in a Three‐Species Food Chain Mathematical Model With General Holling Type Response Functions

open access: yesNatural Resource Modeling, Volume 38, Issue 4, November 2025.
ABSTRACT This study explores existence of hydra effect and sustainable harvesting strategies in three species food chain system with all‐purpose Holling type response functions (HT‐I, II, III, and IV). The hydra effect (as mentioned in Sieber and Hilker 2012) is superficially ecological paradox which refers to an increase of a species population size ...

Barefoot Trees for Bees: Nesting Site Characteristics of the Ground‐Nesting Bee Andrena vaga in an Urban Environment

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 15, Issue 10, October 2025.
Andrena vaga nesting sites were preferably located under canopy cover. The soils of the nesting sites were warmer and drier and showed less penetration resistance and vegetation cover compared to uncolonized control areas. Experimental bare ground plots located within control areas did not provoke colonization of Andrena vaga, assumingly due to social ...

Gestural and Verbal Evidence of Conceptual Representation Differences in Blind and Sighted Individuals

open access: yesCognitive Science, Volume 49, Issue 10, October 2025.
Abstract This preregistered study examined whether visual experience influences conceptual representations by examining both gestural expression and feature listing. Gestures—mostly driven by analog mappings of visuospatial and motoric experiences onto the body—offer a unique window into conceptual representations and provide complementary information ...

On the Existence of Locally Attractive Solutions of a Nonlinear Quadratic Volterra Integral Equation of Fractional Order

open access: yes, 2010
The authors employs a hybrid fixed point theorem involving the multiplication of two operators for proving an existence result of locally attractive solutions of a nonlinear quadratic Volterra integral equation of fractional (arbitrary) order ...

Optimal Liquidation With Signals: The General Propagator Case

open access: yesMathematical Finance, Volume 35, Issue 4, Page 841-866, October 2025.
ABSTRACT We consider a class of optimal liquidation problems where the agent's transactions create transient price impact driven by a Volterra‐type propagator along with temporary price impact. We formulate these problems as maximization of a revenue‐risk functionals, where the agent also exploits available information on a progressively measurable ...
