On the Existence of Solutions of Dynamic Equations on Time Scales in Banach Spaces

open access: yesMathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, Volume 49, Issue 13, Page 15358-15384, 15 September 2026.
ABSTRACT In this paper we address the question of solvability of dynamic equations on time scales in Banach spaces. In particular, our main theorem extends the result for classical differential equations in Banach spaces of Banaś and Goebel established in [5], to an arbitrary time scale.

Slope Aspect Modulates Alpine Meadow Spatial Homogeneity Through Niche Differences, Not Fitness Differences

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 9, September 2026.
This study examines the role of slope aspect in mediating the spatial homogeneity of alpine meadow communities on the Qinghai‐Tibetan Plateau through the lens of modern coexistence theory. We found that slope aspect strongly mediated community homogeneity by altering niche differences, but not fitness differences, with this effect being significant ...

Product integration for Volterra integral equations of the second kind with weakly singular kernels [PDF]

open access: yesMathematics of Computation, 1996
We introduce a new numerical approach for solving Volterra integral equations of the second kind when the kernel contains a mild singularity. We give a convergence result. We also present numerical examples which show the performance and efficiency of our method.

On a pseudo-Volterra nonhomogeneous integral equation

open access: yesҚарағанды университетінің хабаршысы. Математика сериясы, 2019
In this paper the issues of the solvability of a pseudo-Volterra nonhomogeneous integral equation of the second kind are studied. The solution to the corresponding homogeneous equation and the classes of the uniqueness of the solution are found in [1 ...

Biorthogonal systems for solving Volterra integral equation systems of the second kind

open access: yesJournal of Computational and Applied Mathematics, 2011
The authors generalizes the iterative method to solve the system of Volterra integral equations of the second kind \[ X(t)=Y_{0}(t)+\int_{0}^{t}K(x,s,X(s))ds,\qquad t\in[\alpha,\alpha+\beta], \] where \(X(t)\in\mathbb R^{n}\). The Lipschitz condition assumed for \(K\) and a fixed point theorem allow to establish the existence of a unique solution.

Navigating Human Astrocyte Differentiation: Direct and Rapid One‐Step Differentiation of Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells to Functional Astrocytes Supporting Neuronal Network Development

open access: yesGlia, Volume 74, Issue 9, September 2026.
One‐step protocol enabling direct differentiation of human iPSCs into functional astrocytes within 5 weeks. Validated in > 60 lines across 10 labs. iPSC‐astrocytes support robust neuronal network development in co‐culture. ABSTRACT Astrocytes play a pivotal role in neuronal network development.

Two-side methods for the solution nonlinear second kind volterra integral equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008

Analytical Techniques for a Numerical Solution of the Linear Volterra Integral Equation of the Second Kind

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2009
In this work we use analytical tools—Schauder bases and Geometric Series theorem—in order to develop a new method for the numerical resolution of the linear Volterra integral equation of the second kind.

Optimal control and multitrophic physiologically‐based models: The binomial for successful decision support systems in insect pest management

open access: yesPest Management Science, Volume 82, Issue 9, Page 9285-9292, September 2026.
Decision‐making in integrated pest management (IPM) corresponds to an optimisation problem where the plant–pest dynamics and the control actions are constraints and where the objective function accounts for the costs of the treatments and the total income at the harvest time.

Solution of the axismmetric plane thermoelasticity problem for a polar-orthotropic disc of variable thickness in the rotating thermal field by Volterra integral equation of the second kind

open access: yesЖурнал Белорусского государственного университета: Математика, информатика, 2017
With the help of linear Volterra integral equation of the second kind the solution of the axisymmetric plane thermoelasticity problem for a polar-orthotropic disk of variable thickness in the rotating thermal field is generally given.
