The stream volume of fluid advection algorithm
Summary: The volume of fluid (VOF) method is a powerful tool for modelling the motion of free surface fluid flows. In this paper, a new VOF advection algorithm is presented, termed the stream scheme. The algorithm uses a linear piecewise method for free surface reconstruction, coupled to a unique fully multidimensional method of cell boundary flux ...

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

An analysis of parasitic current generation in volume of fluid simulations
Summary: Parasitic currents are unphysical currents generated when using implementations of the Continuum Surface Force technique to model surface tension forces in multi-phase Computational Fluid Dynamics problems. We derive and validate a correlation for the magnitudes of these currents as a function of the physical and numerical parameters used in a

Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...

Measurement of extracellular fluid compartment volume using inulin:
Background: There is a need to find methods to assess the size of the extracellular fluid (ECF) volume without involving radioactive tracers. For this purpose, the simple delusion method was used to measure the ECF in rabbits and the inulin which is a ...
