Phase Hologram by Acoustic Metasurfaces

open access: yesSmall Structures, EarlyView.
This work has achieved a breakthrough in holographic communication, realizing phase holographic imaging. The proposed phase holographic concept overcomes the limitations of traditional amplitude holographic energy attenuation. The design of its amplitude compensation method further addresses the key challenge of phase holographic imaging clarity ...

Revisiting PSF models: Unifying framework and high‐performance implementation

open access: yesJournal of Microscopy, EarlyView.
Abstract Localisation microscopy often relies on detailed models of point‐spread functions. For applications such as deconvolution or PSF engineering, accurate models for light propagation in imaging systems with a high numerical aperture are required. Different models have been proposed based on 2D Fourier transforms or 1D Bessel integrals.

Modeling and Improving Geometric Accuracy in Projection Multiphoton Lithography

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, Volume 14, Issue 6, 9 February 2026.
A numerical framework describing the optical and photochemical processes is developed to elucidate the origins of geometric deviations in projection multiphoton lithography. The results indicate that oxygen diffusion and inhibition, and DMD diffraction, lead to geometric distortions.

Radial canonical AdS3 gravity and T T ¯ $$ T\overline{T} $$

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We employ an ADM deparametrization strategy to discuss the radial canonical formalism of asymptotically AdS3 gravity. It leads to the identification of a radial ‘time’ before quantization, which is the volume time, canonically conjugate to York time ...

Liouville action and Holography on quasi-Fuchsian deformation spaces

open access: yes, 2017
We study the Liouville action for quasi-Fuchsian groups with parabolic and elliptic elements. In particular, when the group is Fuchsian, the contribution of elliptic elements to the classical Liouville action is derived in terms of the Bloch-Wigner ...

Local‐to‐Nonlocal Second‐Harmonic Generation from Electrically Tunable Intersubband Polaritonic Metasurfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 9, 13 February 2026.
A local‐to‐nonlocal SHG process is demonstrated on an electrically tunable metasurface, combining an LSPR at the FF with a TM‐GMR at the SH to achieve independent dual tunability. Through modal‐overlap engineering of the proposed scheme, a high‐χ(2) MQW meta‐atom delivers strong nonlinearity while achieving 2‐DoF SH control with minimal trade‐offs ...

Quantum complexity of T T ¯ $$ T\overline{T} $$ -deformation and its implications

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We employ holography to calculate the quantum complexity of T T ¯ $$ T\overline{T} $$ -deformation, utilizing the complexity equals volume (CV) and the complexity equals action (CA) proposals within the bulk spacetime with a finite radius cutoff. We find

Gravity from the entropy of light

open access: yes, 2011
The holographic principle, considered in a semiclassical setting, is shown to have direct consequences on physics at a fundamental level. In particular, a certain relation is pointed out to be the expression of holography in basic thermodynamics.

In Situ Liquid‐Cell Transmission Electron Microscopy Insights Into Lithium‐Ion Battery Materials Degradation: Challenges and Emerging Solutions

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 8, 9 February 2026.
Lithium‐ion battery degradation arises from complex, localized processes during operation, limiting long‐term performance. In situ electrochemical liquid cell TEM provides unique access to these mechanisms. This review summarizes degradation phenomena revealed by liquid cell TEM, traces the evolution of the three main cell designs, compares their ...

Characterization of Volume Gratings Based on Distributed Dielectric Constant Model Using Mueller Matrix Ellipsometry

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2019
Volume grating is a key optical component due to its comprehensive applications. Other than the common grating structures, volume grating is essentially a predesigned refractive index distribution recorded in materials, which raises the challenges of ...
