Developmental programmes drive cellular plasticity, disease progression and therapy resistance in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

Resistivity of Ca-Al metallic glasses [PDF]

open access: yes, 1986
The resistivity of Ca-Al metallic glass is calculated as a function of temperature and composition. The diffraction model is used, including the partial dynamic structure factors.

Stimulator of interferon genes agonist augmented antitumor immunity of osimertinib in Egfr‐mutated lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.

The Effects of Resistance Training Volume on Skeletal Muscle Proteome

open access: yesInternational Journal of Exercise Science, 2017
Studies are conflicting to whether low volume resistance training (RT) is as effective as high-volume RT protocols with respect to promoting morphological and molecular adaptations. Thus, the aim of the present study was to compare, using a climbing a vertical ladder, the effects of 8 weeks, 3 times per week, resistance training with 4 sets (RT4 ...

Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.

Flow Enabled Target Capture Halbach‐based magnetic enrichment increases circulating tumor cell capture from blood in metastatic cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pair‐wise comparison of the CellSearch and FETCH enrichment technologies for circulating tumor cells (CTCs) from metastatic breast, prostate, and small cell lung cancer patients shows an increased capture of CTCs using FETCH enrichment. The clinical implementation of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) as a predictive tool for therapy efficacy in the ...

The effective area of measurement electrode in volume resistivity and permittivity of solid dielectrics measurements [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The problems of determination of the effective area of the measurement electrode during the evaluation of volume resistivity and electrical permittivity based on measurements in three electrode system are discussed.

Genesis of Low-Resistivity Shale Reservoirs and Its Influence on Gas-Bearing Property: A Case Study of the Longmaxi Formation in Southern Sichuan Basin

open access: yesApplied Sciences
To mitigate the exploration and development risks, it is necessary to have a deeper understanding of the formation mechanism and gas-bearing control factors of low-resistance shale reservoirs.
