Amended FRW universe: thermodynamics and heat engine

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields
Thermodynamics of non-flat Amended Friedmann–Robertson–Walker (AFRW) universe with cosmological constant as thermodynamic pressure is studied. The unified first law of thermodynamics, the Clausius relation and the gravity equations yield entropy on the ...

Thermodynamic Volume Product in Spherically Symmetric and Axisymmetric Spacetime

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics, 2018
We have examined the thermodynamic volume products for spherically symmetric and axisymmetric spacetime in the framework of extended phase space. Such volume products are usually formulated in terms of the outer horizon (H+) and the inner horizon (H-) of black hole (BH) spacetime. Besides volume product, the other thermodynamic formulations like volume

Functional Materials for Environmental Energy Harvesting in Smart Agriculture via Triboelectric Nanogenerators

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This review explores functional and responsive materials for triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs) in sustainable smart agriculture. It examines how particulate contamination and dirt affect charge transfer and efficiency. Environmental challenges and strategies to enhance durability and responsiveness are outlined, including active functional layers ...

Harnessing Non‐Covalent Protein–Protein Interaction Domains for Production of Biocatalytic Materials Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Non‐covalent protein–protein interactions mediated by SH3, PDZ, or GBD domains enable the self‐assembly of stable and biocatalytically active hydrogel materials. These soft materials can be processed into monodisperse foams that, once dried, exhibit enhanced mechanical stability and activity and are easily integrated into microstructured flow ...

Defects Dynamic in Photo‐Excited CeO2 and their Influence on CO2 Photoreduction

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy study under light excitation is presented to track the defect dynamic (Ce4+ to Ce3+) in CeO2. Surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy confirmed the key role of Ce3+ states in controlling charge and energy transfer across the CeO2‐dye molecule interface.

Engineered Interface and Spatial Arrangement of Inorganic Components for Dendrite‐Free Li Anodes in Carbonate‐Based Electrolyte

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A solid‐state ion exchange strategy constructs dentrimental Li2CO3 into a high‐modulus, high‐surface‐energy interface to enable dendrite‐free deposition of Li metal anode in the harsh carbonate‐based electrolyte. Abstract The practical application of lithium metal batteries (LMBs) in carbonate‐based electrolytes is hindered by uncontrolled lithium (Li)
