[Acquired Von Willebrand syndrome].
Annales de biologie clinique, 2006We report a case of acquired von Willebrand syndrome in association with multiple myeloma, diagnosed in a 54 year-old man suffering from sudden onset of mucocutaneous bleeding. The acquired von Willebrand syndrome is a rare bleeding disorder with laboratory findings similar to those of inherited von Willebrand disease.

[Acquired von Willebrand syndrome].
Nederlands tijdschrift voor geneeskunde, 2003Two patients, a man aged 69 and a woman aged 64, were diagnosed with Von-Willebrand syndrome caused by monoclonal gammopathy. The man, who was admitted for hip surgery, had a history of long episodes of epistaxis. The patient was treated with immunoglobulin and the hip operation was carried out with no complications.
