Vowel Deletion in Word-Initial Syllables in Mongolic Languages

In several Mongolic languages namely Baoan, Mongor, Eastern Yogor, and Dungxiang lexical stress predominantly falls on the word-final syllable. This stress pattern has led to the deletion of vowels in word-initial syllables, resulting in the formation of consonant clusters.
