Brain Gray Matter Atrophy after Spinal Cord Injury: A Voxel-Based Morphometry Study
The aim of this study was to explore possible changes in whole brain gray matter volume (GMV) after spinal cord injury (SCI) using voxel-based morphometry (VBM), and to study their associations with the injury duration, severity, and clinical variables ...

This study presents a human Bone (and Bone Marrow)‐on‐a‐Chip model based on native human bone scaffolds and autologous cells. Dynamic perfusion and sequential cell seeding replicate the physiological bone remodeling process in vitro, enabling the long‐term culture of functional, mature bone marrow immune subpopulations.

DDSurfer reconstructs cortical surfaces directly from diffusion MRI without requiring T1‐weighted scans. By fusing complementary microstructural features and learning diffeomorphic deformations, it efficiently generates accurate white matter and pial surfaces, improving geometric fidelity and morphometric reliability across datasets for robust surface ...

Longitudinal Voxel-based morphometry with unified segmentation: evaluation on simulated Alzheimer’s disease [PDF]
The goal of this work is to evaluate Voxel-Based Morphometry and three longitudinally-tailored methods of VBM.We use a cohort of simulated images produced by deforming original scans using a Finite Element Method, guided to emulate Alzheimer-like ...

Insular volume abnormalities associated with different transition probabilities to psychosis [PDF]
Background Although individuals vulnerable to psychosis show brain volumetric abnormalities, structural alterations underlying different probabilities for later transition are unknown.

MRI Correlates of Parkinson’s Disease Progression: A Voxel Based Morphometry Study
We investigated structural brain differences between a group of early-mild PD patients at different phases of the disease and healthy subjects using voxel-based morphometry (VBM).

In situ mechanical loading of osteoarthritis‐prone murine knee joints reveals that spatial alterations in subchondral plate microarchitecture precede cartilage loss and promote a shift from coordinated epiphyseal strain dissipation in healthy joints to focal subchondral strain concentration in osteoarthritis‐prone joints.

Grey matter alterations co-localize with functional abnormalities in developmental dyslexia : an ALE meta-analysis [PDF]
The neural correlates of developmental dyslexia have been investigated intensively over the last two decades and reliable evidence for a dysfunction of left-hemispheric reading systems in dyslexic readers has been found in functional neuroimaging studies.
