Minimal-time bioremediation of natural water resources [PDF]
We study minimal time strategies for the treatment of pollution of large volumes, such as lakes or natural reservoirs, with the help of an autonomous bioreactor. The control consists in feeding the bioreactor from the resource, the clean output returning

This study identifies the intermediary structures for dehydrogenation of iPrOH for hydrogen gas production, circumvention of catalyst poisoning, and heat degradation pathway of (POCOP)‐Ir pincer catalyst, using in situ X‐ray absorption spectroscopy. Abstract On‐site hydrogen gas production from hydrogen‐rich liquids offers a clean alternative to fossil

Haze measurements were used to demonstrate the photocatalytic degradation of polystyrene and polymethylmethacrylate microplastics. Indeed, considering that after the degradation the amount of the particles will decrease and the shape will change, the haze will change and can be used as a validation of the degradation.

Neutrinoless Double Beta Decay in Type I+II Seesaw Models
We study neutrinoless double beta decay in left-right symmetric extension of the standard model with type I and type II seesaw origin of neutrino masses.

Entropy: The Markov Ordering Approach
The focus of this article is on entropy and Markov processes. We study the properties of functionals which are invariant with respect to monotonic transformations and analyze two invariant "additivity" properties: (i) existence of a monotonic ...

Some process control/design considerations in the development of a microgravity mammalian cell bioreactor [PDF]
The purpose is to review some of the physical/metabolic factors which must be considered in the development of an operating strategy for a mammalian cell bioreactor.

Relation between CKM and MNS Matrices Induced by Bi-Maximal Rotations in the Seesaw Mechanism
It is found that the seesaw mechanism not only explains the smallness of neutrino masses but also accounts for the large mixing angles simultaneously, even if the unification of the neutrino Dirac mass matrix with that of up-type quark sector is realized.

Revisiting fermion mass and mixing fits in the minimal SUSY $SO(10)$ GUT
Supersymmetric $SO(10)$ grand unified models with renormalizable Yukawa couplings involving only ${\bf 10}$ and $\overline{\bf 126}$ Higgs fields have been shown to realize the fermion masses and mixings economically.

We present the results of a combined fit of the reactor antineutrino rates and the Daya Bay measurement of $\sigma_{f,235}$ and $\sigma_{f,239}$. The combined fit leads to a better determination of the two cross sections per fission: $\sigma_{f,235} = 6 ...
