Nowadays, the voltage source converter (VSC)‐based high‐voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission technology is widely adopted for the integration of renewable power generations. However, the grid‐connected VSC systems may also cause power system instability issues. This study focuses on the parameter stability region of VSC control system in VSC‐HVDC

DC Admittance Model of VSCs for Stability Studies in VSC-HVDC Systems
High-voltage direct current (HVDC) systems linked to AC grids with converters are promising energy transmission systems. These systems present complex AC- and DC-side dynamic interactions. Impedance-based stability studies have recently been proposed to assess DC-side dynamics from DC-side characterization of voltage source converters (VSCs ...

Existence of Solutions to the Diffusive VSC Model [PDF]
We prove existence of classical solutions to the so-called diffusive vesicle supply center (VSC) model describing the growth of fungal hyphae. It is supposed in this model that the local expansion of the cell wall is caused by a flux of vesicles into the wall and that the cell wall particles move orthogonally to the cell surface.

Optimal Control of VSC for STATCOM Applications [PDF]
Abstract In this work, a voltage source converter (VSC) is configured to perform STATCOM tasks and generate reactive power. An optimal H ∞ controller has been successfully implemented including an anti-windup compensator. Data from an experimental test bench is provided and compared with simulation results showing good accuracy level.

Multi-Objective Optimization of VSC Stations in Multi-Terminal VSC-HVdc Grids, Based on PSO
The objective of this paper is to enhance the control performance of voltage source converter (VSC) stations within multi-terminal high voltage direct current (M-HVdc) grids under dynamic conditions. This paper presents the application of particle swarm optimization (PSO) to tune the control parameters of VSC stations. VSCs are non-linear components of

Stability Analysis of a Receiving-End VSC-HVDC System with Parallel-Connected VSCs
Voltage source converter-based high-voltage direct current (VSC-HVDC) systems integrated into weak AC grids may exhibit oscillation-induced instability, posing significant threats to power system security. With increasing structural complexity and diverse control strategies, the stability characteristics of VSC-HVDC system require further investigation.

Collective identities of VSCs: influencing factors and impact
This paper explores the positive effects and factors that shape collective identities within voluntary sport clubs (VSCs). As the role and development of collective identities in VSCs remain poorly understood, Classic Institutional Theory is combined with Social Identity Theory to identify the micro- and organisational-level factors that shape these ...

Synchronization of VSCs to the Grid
Abstract This chapter presents the synchronization of voltage source converters (VSCs) to the grid. In Sec. 4.1, the connection of a VSC to the grid based on the grid equivalent circuit and the energy transfer is explained. Sec. 4.2. gives an overview of different synchronization principles.
