Transmission coefficient estimation based on antenna voltage standing wave ratio under plasma sheath
Radio blackout has confused the aerospace industry for decades. The highly attenuated caused by the plasma sheath is the main cause of radio blackout. The transmission coefficient depends on the relationship between plasma density, collision frequency ...

A Miniaturized Wing‐Conformal Phased Array for Simultaneous Wideband and Wide‐Angle Scanning
This paper presents a compact S‐band wing‐conformal phased array antenna with wide bandwidth, wide‐angle azimuth scanning and a narrow elevation beam width. The design uses a tightly spaced 1 × 12 array with an element spacing of only 0.31λ at the lowest frequency, combined with WAMSs and a hybrid director‐FSS structure to realize wideband operation ...

Wideband and Frequency‐Reconfigurable Loop Antenna for Sub‐6 GHz Applications
This work tackles the longstanding bandwidth limitation of loop antennas by introducing a compact, symmetrical design that integrates a microstrip balun and periodic varactor loading. Unlike existing methods that often compromise symmetry or beam control, the proposed structure achieves both wide impedance bandwidth and frequency reconfigurability ...

Design Concept of High‐Power RF/Microwave Termination With a Cascade of Π‐Type Attenuation Networks
A high‐power RF/microwave resistor termination, with a cascade of π‐type resistor attenuation networks, multi‐segment microstrip structure and electromagnetic constraint metal carrier, is designed to improve the voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR), especially in the high frequency band and increase the power capacity by reducing the risk of local ...

A Low Profile Dual‐Polarised Dual‐Band Base‐Station Antenna With Bandwidth Extension
A dual‐polarised, dual‐band, miniaturised and broadband base‐station antenna is proposed. For the LB dipole arm, a vertically bent horizontal dipole structure is adopted to extend the operating frequency downward to 617 MHz while preserving the LB upper‐band performance.
