Secondary prevention of venous thromboembolic complications. Focus on dabigatrane
Venous thromboembolic complications (VTEC) are a frequent pathology accompanied by high lethality. After VTEC the risk of their recurrence not equivalent for all patients remains.

Comparison of GPS-derived vTEC over Cyprus with NeQuick Model [PDF]
This paper presents a comparison of ionospheric vertical total electron content (vTEC) values evaluated from Nicosia (35.1 N, 33.4 E) ground-based GPS station in Cyprus and the corresponding predictions with the latest version of the NeQuick model during

Abstract Atmospheric rivers (ARs) are well known for their contributions to precipitation and flooding across the U.S. The present study explores the relationship between ARs and the potential for severe thunderstorms and tornadoes over the U.S. in both the warm and cool seasons during a 20‐year period from 2004 to 2023.

Abstract Swarms are microearthquake clusters governed by aseismic deformation, fluid migration, and stress changes, but the underlying mechanisms for their recurrence remain elusive. In 2008, abundant swarms were observed on the westernmost Gofar transform fault.

Oncological disease is one of the most important risk factors for venous thromboembolic complications (VTEC). The treatment of an already confirmed VTEC in an oncological patient is always associated with additional difficulties, which are related to ...

Sudden Ionospheric Disturbances Generated by Solar Flares—Not so Sudden?
Abstract It is known that solar flares generate instantaneous ionization enhancement, referred to as sudden ionospheric disturbance (SID), that occurs simultaneously across the entire dayside. In this work, we use high‐rate 1‐s data of total electron content (TEC) to analyse ionospheric response to 13 solar flares that occurred in 2003–2023.

Abstract International Reference Ionosphere (IRI) and the Ionosphere‐Plasmasphere (IRI‐Plas) models describe monthly median ionospheric conditions. IRI‐Plas, unlike IRI, allows one to include instantaneous Total Electron Content observations (TEC) to adjust the median predictions. The standard IRI‐Plas generates monthly medians of foF2m, hmF2m and TECm
