Thermal properties of Arctic fox (Vulpes lagopus) furs

open access: yes
Fjellrev (Vulpes lagopus) kommer i to genetisk bestemte fargevarianter: hvit og blå.

open access: yes
The Arctic fox (Vulpes lagopus) is a species adapted to arctic and subarctic environments. Over the past century, the population in Fennoscandia has declined drastically due to human activity, a trend that has been exacerbated by climate change, altered food availability, and increased competition from the red fox (Vulpes vulpes).

Interactions between arctic fox (Vulpes lagopus) and red fox (Vulpes vulpes) in alpine habitats in Norway : activity patterns and avoidance mechanisms

open access: yes, 2017
The arctic fox (Vulpes lagopus) population in Fennoscandia declined drastically in the beginning of the 20th century. In contrast, the red fox (Vulpes vulpes) population expanded rapidly during the 20th century. Fragmentation, dampened rodent cycles and increased interspecific competition with the red fox have been suggested to explain the non-recovery
