Non‐Native Bird Populations Respond Differently to Their Environment and Exhibit Shifts in Ecological Niche Limits Across Continents

open access: yesDiversity and Distributions, Volume 31, Issue 10, October 2025.
ABSTRACT Aim The degree to which species' niches remain stable over space and time–the niche conservatism hypothesis–is critical for predicting species' responses to environmental change. Tests of this hypothesis typically focus on changes in niche centroids and boundaries.

Universal scaling dependence of QCD energy loss from data driven studies

open access: yes, 2014
In this paper we study the energy loss of jets in the QGP via the nuclear modification factor $R_{\textrm{AA}}$ for unidentified particles at high $p_{\textrm{T}}$ ($\gtrsim 10 \textrm{GeV}/c$) in and out of the reaction plane of the collision.

Carbon‐Coated Moth‐Eye Structure: An Ultrabroadband THz‐DUV Near‐Perfect Absorber

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, Volume 13, Issue 26, September 12, 2025.
A silicon moth‐eye surface coated with pyrolytic carbon achieves >98% absorption from 1 to 1200 THz by combining gradient‐index matching with PyC's broadband conductivity, forming an ultra‐broadband absorber from THz to deep UV. Experimental results and simulations agreed well.

Evaluation of Inhibitory Activity of Novel Monoclonal Antibodies Against Cat Allergen Fel d 7 and Their Application to Analyse Allergen Extracts

open access: yesScandinavian Journal of Immunology, Volume 102, Issue 3, September 2025.
We have developed a collection of Fel d 7‐specific mAbs for quantification of allergen Fel d 7 in six cat allergen extracts from five different manufacturers. Also, we have applied mAbs in the functional assays and showed that mAbs effectively inhibit rFel d 7 binding to human IgE.

Degrees in oriented hypergraphs and sparse Ramsey theory [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Let $G$ be an $r$-uniform hypergraph. When is it possible to orient the edges of $G$ in such a way that every $p$-set of vertices has some $p$-degree equal to $0$?
