Tax Policy, Corruption and Poverty in WAEMU

Abstract: This study examines the effect of policy uncertainty on money demand in WAEMU countries over the period 1985 to 2020. We propose an augmented money demand function including an indicator of uncertainty that is the news-based World Uncertainty Index (WUI) ‘policy uncertainty’.
