On the frequency of wage indexation
European Economic Review, 1983Abstract This paper analyzes the optimal frequency of wage indexation. It demonstrates that a change in the expected value of money does not affect the optimal frequency, but that an increase in the riskiness of the value of money leads to an increase in the optimal frequency. An increase in the worker's risk aversion also leads to an increase in the

Inflation, indexation, and wage dispersion
Economics Letters, 1987Abstract This study provides a theory of indexation to reconcile empirical findings that unanticipated inflation raises the dispersion of price changes among subaggregates while it lowers that of wage changes. Evidence on the relation between inflation and the dispersion of wage changes in Israel is presented to buttress the arguments.

A major difference between the results of the model and those of the previous literature is that, in his ...

In a small open economy, the simultaneous application of an exchange rate policy aimed at maintaining purchasing power parity would help in eliminating output variability.

Real Wages, The Wage Share and Cumulative Wage Indexation following a Currency Devaluation [PDF]
Real wage maintenance is shown to be incompatible with a currency devaluation in an N sector model in which production requires imported raw materials. Irrespective of the type of economy and the first round response of price setters the competitive advantage of the devaluation is dissipated, under constant markups, in the long run by the ensuing ...
